Here’s why I use EFT with my clients: Because it is a powerful and effective method of reprogramming our subconscious mind. Simply choosing positive thoughts doesn’t work. We are constantly playing old programs that don’t support us. When we change our subconscious programming, we change our lives. To use the words of Cellular Biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton, “EFT engages super learning. Super learning is pushing the record button . . .” of our subconscious mind. Dr. Lipton explains that our subconscious mind is like a tape player. Unless we erase and replace our old tapes, they will continue to run our lives. This is what EFT does, and the results impact all aspects of our lives.
The truth is that our thoughts and beliefs coming from our subconscious mind 95% of the time. This means that we are unconscious MOST of the time. Our subconscious mind was programmed almost entirely by the time we were 6 years old, just by downloading the experiences that were going on in our young lives. We were taking on negative experiences, words, and opinions from others and storing them as if they were true from a very early age. We were programmed to actually De-value ourselves. The truth is, we are profoundly powerful, and our true value is already established by Source Energy before we are born.
We MUST change these core beliefs, or they will continue to sabotage our lives. People change their LIVES with EFT. It’s that powerful.
Here are some quotes from the Experts:
From Gary Craig’s Website, www.emofree.com:
EFT Tapping Often Works Where Nothing Else Will
EFT breathes fresh air into the healing process by borrowing from the Chinese meridian system. While acupuncture, acupressure and the like have been primarily focused on physical ailments, EFT stands back from this ancient process and points it also at emotional issues. These, in turn, often provide benefits for performance and physical issues.
EFT combines the physical benefits of acupuncture with the cognitive benefits of conventional therapy for a much faster, more complete treatment of emotional issues, and the physical and performance issues that often result.
Surrogate EFT: What is it?
You are doing Surrogate EFT when you tap on yourself for another person’s issue, whether or not they are present. This is an exciting element of EFT and points us toward levels of healing that are well beyond EFT, medicine and anything else this world has to offer. It is the springboard into higher levels of spiritual awareness and the soothing, ever-present peace that is our spiritual birthright.
From Dr. Mercola at www.eft.mercola.com:
The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is the psychological acupressure technique I routinely use in my practice and most highly recommend to optimize your emotional health. Although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing – no matter how devoted you are to the proper diet and lifestyle, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way.
My Quick Tip: Tapping to Erase and Replace a CORE BELIEF
Here’s a sample tapping script to reprogram “I’m not good enough”:
Set-Up Statements: Tapping on the Karate Chop Point (side of hand):
Even though I decided when I was really young that I’m not good enough, I love and accept myself.
Even though they said I wasn’t good enough, I love and profoundly accept myself.
Even though they yelled at me and I decided I was bad, I still deeply love and accept myself.
Tap through the 8 points 3 times
Top of Head: I don’t feel “good enough”.
Eyebrow: They told me I was bad.
Side of Eye: I spilled my milk and they yelled at me.
Under Eye: I was really young when I internalized that I’m not good enough.
Under Nose: I’ve been gathering evidence ever since to prove that I’m not good enough.
Under Chin: It must be true. There is so much evidence that I’m not good enough.
Collar Bone: “I’m not good enough” is running my life.
Under Arm: I’m running my life on something I decided at age 3, and it might not be true.
Top of Head: If I believed I was good enough just as I am, that would change everything.
Eyebrow: Maybe I’ll start gathering evidence that I AM good enough.
Side of Eye: Just think, I’ve been making big decisions in my life from the mind of a 3-year-old.
Under Eye: Thank goodness I can push the record button.
Under Nose: It sounds too easy. I thought it would be difficult.
Chin: I am already good enough. Just testing.
Collar Bone: Am I? Well, my life would certainly be better if I believed I am.
Under Arm: OK, Tape Player, start recording.
Top of Head: I have decided I AM GOOD ENOUGH.
Eyebrow: I have gifts and talents that are unique to me.
Side of Eye: I DO love and accept myself.
Under Eye: There’s a whole Universe out there that loves and supports me.
Under Nose: Subconscious mind, keep recording. I AM GOOD ENOUGH.
Chin: I am ready starting to feel “good enough”.
Collar Bone: Wow, I’m feeling way more powerful.
Under Arm: I celebrate with gratitude the news: I AM GOOD ENOUGH!
