How does the tapping work?
The Chinese have known for thousands of years that we have meridians (rivers of energy) running throughout our bodies. When an emotional upset occurs, it can be said that a rock is placed in one of the rivers. When enough rocks accumulate, energy no longer flows smoothly through the meridians. EFT is a powerful technique that removes the rocks from the rivers, thus allowing energy to flow freely. The client TAPS on certain meridian points on the head, face, collarbone, and under the arm, while focusing on a specific problem, negative emotion, or outdated belief. It is comparable to acupuncture for the mind, and it is completely painless.
Is it hard to learn EFT?
No, EFT can be learned easily. Working with a trained therapist such as Judy is the best way to get results. You just follow her in the tapping, and repeat the phrases. Aan energy shift will most likely occur even in the first session. Once you have become proficient at using EFT, you can practice the technique on your own. It is helpful, however, to resolve the deeper core issues with an experienced therapist, before trying to clear emotional blocks on your own.
Will I have to come to therapy for years?
The old “talk therapy” model did not move quickly, and you could end up staying for years. This is usually not the case with EFT. Dramatic results are often obtained in 3 to 6 sessions. Many of Judy’s clients become quite proficient in using EFT on themselves after several sessions, and they can continue to clear negative emotions between sessions. on their own. If you are seeking help for deep psychological issues, or have suffered severe trauma, the therapy process may take longer. EFT is much less traumatizing to the client than other ‘STANDARD” techniques, when working on more serious issues.
Why would I want to focus on the problem while tapping in EFT sessions?
With EFT, focusing on the problem while tapping brings about the miracle. Instead of “stuffing down” anything negative, or pretending it’s not there, the negative belief or emotion is brought to conscious mind, where it can be released. The tapping does the releasing. Most of what we do is controlled by the subconscious mind, and about 90% of what is stored there (beneath the level of awareness) is negative. Pretending to be positive doesn’t help. The negative energy is stored in every cell in our bodies, and it affects our health as well as our mental state. Balancing the body’s energy system and releasing the negative energy creates the potential for a balanced, prosperous, and peaceful life.
