Years ago I studied Transcendental Meditation, and I loved it. I practiced it for several years and it slowly slipped out of my life. I caved into the hustle and bustle of creating businesses, worked long hours 7 days a week, and barely even remembered how to slow down.
Recently I have made a shift back into daily meditation. It changes everything! Part of my awakening process is realizing the pure potentiality that we all have. My journey is one of awakening spiritually to higher levels of consciousness.
We all have a True Self that is 100% based in LOVE. This is our Spiritual Essence; our Soul. We are all beings of Divine Love who are just happening to be having a very human experience. When we stay centered in our True Self we are able to access our creativity, our intuition, and our gifts and talents.
My career path has shifted over the years and now matches my life purpose: to awaken, to live love-based, and to share this way of living with others who are also eager to awaken from within, to put away fear-based living, and to embrace the Truth of their Being.
When I get off the path, I find myself in fear-based thinking mode. It’s my Ego, Shadow, or False Self that is showing up. I can tell it is happening because I get tense and I find myself hanging out in regret about the past or fear about the future. This part of me gets too busy “doing” and doesn’t always have the time to meditate.
Then I remember to shift back into my True Self. It can be as easy as flipping on a light switch in a dark room. Love always dissipates fear.
Here are some of the results of daily Spiritual Practice:
- We move away from “should” thinking
- We are no longer interested in competing
- We let go of our ego-driven ambitions
- We let go of materialistic pursuits
- We become truly helpful
- We move from doubt to trust
- We let go of judgment of self and others and move into curiosity and acceptance instead
The quickest way to make the shift is to turn to a love-based thought or feeling. Awareness of the ALLNESS of the Universe is so calming, so profound. My body relaxes, my brain stops its fear-based thoughts, and I feel soothed, loved, and a part of a Oneness that is so all-inclusive that it “passeth understanding”. It is a Knowing of Oneness that has the potential to change the world.
