This is an exercise that I use often. I become the observer of me being me. Try this out! Become an observer witnessing yourself going through your day. Notice where you are spending much of your time. Notice what kinds of things keep you “off track”, such as watching too much TV, engaging in negative thinking, or wasting time on social media. Observe yourself when you are becoming blocked or feeling stuck, and become very curious. What is happening? See if you can discover some clues by observing yourself.
If you observe yourself focused on what you DON’T want, you can easily change your focus to what you DO want. Our consistent thoughts create our reality, so changing our thoughts is one way we can deliberately create what we want.
Becoming the Observer is important. You will see clues to your own mode of operating in the world. Gradually you will shift to new ways of living and being, and when you do, you will be amazed at the shift in your life, your work, and even in your relationships.
